Pacific Northwest Software was founded in 1998 by John Taves and Mike Hayner, both excellent software developers. We have provided a wide variety of custom development services for such prestigious organizations as Microsoft, the United States Postal Service, and Credit Suisse. We are located in the Seattle area but provide virtual development teams to many companies, large and small.
The company has an office in Dnipropetrovsk Ukraine with a team of about 20 software developers, led by Alexandr Novikov. They are our employees and we invest in their skills. This allows us to offer development services at rates competitive with off shore.
John Taves, Chief Executive Officer
John Taves has many years experience in leading teams as well as projects ranging from small to enterprise. John has over 27
years of technical computer experience. He is also an expert in OCR Algorithms, having developed machine print algorithms
that were used to read destination addresses on the mail pieces processed by the United States Post
System.
Mike Hayner, Chief Technical Officer
Mike Hayner is an experienced software development manager and an expert in web and database design. With over 11 years of technical
computer experience, he has also managed the development of several internal and external sites for Microsoft that utilize SharePoint
Portal Server 2003, SharePoint Team Services, ASP.NET, C# Web Parts, SQL Server databases, ActiveX controls, and ISAPI filters and extensions.
Alexandr Novikov, European Branch Director
Alexandr Novikov has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. Alexandr currently leads several large projects as well as managing Pacific Northwest Software's European branch. Previously, Alexandr was Chief of Development at JS Bank "Radabank". Prior to that, he was the Lead Programmer for JS Bank "Zemelny Capital". In 1995, Alexandr was Chief of Automation for "Prominvestbank".
David Rivard, Director of Enterprise Software
David Rivard has 10 years of development experience building enterprise scale applications for companies like SBC, American Express, Auchan, Microsoft, Credit Suisse, and Ernst & Young. David is currently leading the development of a global assessment tool for Ernst & Young.
